It should be noted that most of the respondents are still “traveling” on their paths to justice and the outcome and costs sections are largely based on expectations.

In this study we interviewed about 60 couples of divorcees who participated in an experimental program of the Dutch Legal Aid Board. Individuals who are eligible to receive legal aid were offered a waiver of the own contribution if they participate in a pilot on-line mediation program. More details about the study and its results are available in the paper “Getting Divorced Online: Procedural and Outcome Justice in Online Divorce Mediation”.
